It's MORE than 59%. This is a winner for ANY candidate in 2006... 2008... IF they have the cajones to actively support it! It crosses over well from red to blue states and would eviscerate the Dem's come election time should a Republican embrace it.

What you say would be entirely true only if this was the only issue - but there are millions.
So, short of the emergence of another Newt Gingrich, a man very well equipped to meet your call, all politics truly are local. And, thanks to the nation-wide gerrymandering that is the product of the career Republicrats' more than one hundred years old criminal cartel, only 35 House seats are in any case, up for grabs.
