Immigration Reform Markup
Sen. Arlen Spector (R-PA) chairs a full Judiciary Committee meeting to mark up pending legislation including a draft bill on comprehensive immigration overhaul. Also, the committee will vote on a bill to televise Supreme Court proceedings and judicial nominations to federal courts.

From what I understand by listening to Bill Bennett's show today is that if Spector doesn't get any bill passed out of the JC that Frist will introduce his own bill in the Senate.

Specter says he is determined to get a bill out even if they have to work past midnight to have it ready for the senate in the morning
Specter also mentioned there aren't enough senators there to vote .. but that the discussion can still start early

From what I understand by listening to Bill Bennett's show today is that if Spector doesn't get any bill passed out of the JC that Frist will introduce his own bill in the Senate. Frist already DID introduce his bill. It's on the Legislatinve calendar, and there is a cloture motion for taking it (Frist's bill) up for consideration.

maintains this great, constantly updated page regarding what's going on in the Senate. I don't know if posting their link breaks any rules or not, but they summarize all the activity going on on the floor, and they update their page every 30 minutes or so.
