Kassam Rocket Hits Ashkelon Industrial Park 21:30 Mar 25, '06 / 25 Adar 5766
(IsraelNN.com) A Kassam rocket launched on the Sabbath struck and damaged a building in the Ashkelon Industrial Park. There were no injuries. A second rocket landed in an open field, once again, without resulting in injuries.
A third rocket landed in the hothouse area of the community of Netiv HaAsarah. No injuries were reported.
On Friday, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Dan Halutz stated a solution to the ongoing Kassam rocket attacks would be found, adding that he does not believe they will be eliminated totally since he is unwilling to begin firing at civilians in Palestinian Authority (PA) controlled Gaza.
"he does not believe they will be eliminated totally since he is unwilling to begin firing at civilians in Palestinian Authority (PA) controlled Gaza."
Israel shows more concern for enemy civilians who want to destroy Israel then for their own citizens.
On this path: Israel is doomed.
*shrug* Just like traffic accidents.
Every attack should be answered by pushing the border back another hundred meters. Any buildings or homes affected by moving the line should be bull-dozed. Compensate any innocent homeowners, but move the line.
Killing the attackers is necessary but insufficient. They have an endless supply of cannon fodder, whereas Israeli lives are few and precious. You have to inflict a price that will cause them pain; only the loss of territory will get their attention. Every attack should be answered by moving the border. Period.
Wipe out the areas from which the rockets are launched with heavy artillery. The attacks will stop.
Come on. You all know that FDR over-reacted when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor.
Had he just taken the Israeli approach, we could have ceded California, dropped leaflets on Germany, and begun sanctions against Hitler.
Wouldn't that have been prefferable to fighting a world war?
(sacr/off)
This headline doesnt make any sense. Who is "Kassam" and why is he firing his rockets at this equally mysterious "Ashkelon"? I take it this is some place in Israel?
Every rocket fired at Israel should equal one day the electric power WILL be shut off to the Palies.
Isn't Ashkelon where the powerplant is?
That works for me.
Dunno, I'm racking my brains to recall details about the area.
Israel is not allowed to protect itself, even if they still had the will.
