Unloading from the truck isn't what I was referring to... it is the moving from the pile of lumber to the back of the site - or to the 2nd floor, or wherever.

Actually, those in my family have the delivery man load the material at the place it mostly to be used, though they will not carry it to the 2nd floor. It is for example, almost no problem for them to put the sheetrock on top of the slab before the wooden frame of the walls are built.

We just get it dropped off at the site in a huge pile - sometimes separated by size. We pay a lot per hour of delivery service. That's why we tell them to drop it.

Irrespective of delivery charges and cusomary drop off procedures, one can pick up illegals who will do whatever you tell them to do for $25 plus food and a ride.
