That statement would be correct if you had included Republicans also. Aside from a handful of Republicans, I see very little, if any, difference in them and the dims on this issue.
When I hear Bush say "jobs Americans won't do" I just want to scream. It makes me sorry I ever voted for him. It's jobs Americans won't do for $2.00 an hour. That's the going rate here for construction workers....$2.00 an hour CASH....no questions asked. I'm sure it's the same in other places.
THe Home Depot always has a group that will work for $25 a day plus Subway sandwiches for lunch and pizza for dinner... oh yeah... and a ride back to Home Depot at 8pm.
Since I am also from Georgia and my family is in the construction business, I am going to have to tell you that is a lie. Construction workers are paid more, at least minimum wage.
Though you may be confusing "$2 to dollars an hour" with "$2 dollars a square foot", which can be a lot of money. Most small houses are around 2000 to 2500 square feet, do the math, that is a decent amount of money for a worker.
"Dollar by the square foot" is a construction formula contractors use to figure out how much a house cost to build; material, time and labor.
I refuse to blame this on businesses. I will once the government starts denying ILLEGAL immigrants free medical care, free education, free welfare benefits all done at the expense of productive members of society.
RATS also want the votes. That's probably the prime motivation behind their desire to protect them and not want to hold them accountable.
