I might have misunderstood your intent and I'm sorry if that's true. The two pictures just struck me as having nothing to do with the each other because the child was so young that you would only assume that she was born in the US and the mother was asking if you would separate her from her US citizen child. Elian was not a citizen of the US and he was sent back to his father because he had no mother in the US and his father did not want to come here.

The question the mother is asking is just dumb because if her child is a US citizen no one is going to deport either of them. If her child is not a US citizen no one is going to separate them at gunpoint. As you stated, they will both be deported. Again, I'm sorry if I didn't understand your intent.
