We MUST embrace China to be a responsible world power, and we can only do this through continued trade, policy consistency and moral governance.
Oh my God you're serious. We MUST embarce China? OR WHAT? WHAT THEN, if we don't? Do your kids wear Che t-shirts?

No, your kids wear Che t-shirts. Che was against free trade. My kids read Adam Smith and Locke.
I didn't simply say we must embrace China. I said "We MUST embrace China to be a responsible world power." Do you have a masochistic desire to see China become an irresponsible world power? The world is big enough for the US and China, it's in our interest to profit from China's rise, not to make a hostile enemy during this historic event. The lessons of post-WWII redevelopment in Europe and Japan has taught us that we don't need another 1930s Germany.
