Wow! These dedicated commie thugs need to move to Cuba or Venezuela. There they can enjoy all the modern, healthy, happy, prosperous trappings of communism. I'm sure they would be welcomed to riot in the streets if they so chose, too.

I saw this comment and loved it,
"Socialism is a drug. The addict wants another fix regardless of the consequences until he either goes cold-turkey or dies of an overdose. The addict will do anything for the next hit, which is why France whores herself out to any dictator on the planet".

How did that 'people power' thing work out for the French in 1795?

***""The government must create jobs," Victor, an economics student tells me as he prepares to march again." ***

Victor, try the evil capitalism scheme. The government doesn't create jobs. Capitalism does.

Let the protesters run wild, a couple of weeks without food and no police to protect them from the Muslim mob will slow them down.

BRITONS have been warned: Stay away from riot-torn Paris.

The Foreign Office says the French capital — which has been rocked by violent demos — is too dangerous.

Protests against a new employment law have erupted into riots, with fierce fighting in the shadow of famous tourist spots like the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral.

Cars have been set alight, shops looted and gangs of youths and masked men swinging baseball bats and wooden planks have had running battles with riot police who have used water cannon and tear gas.The Foreign Office alert is a huge blow to France, which has always considered itself a haven of fashion chic and culture.

Pictures flashed around the world show a new Paris racked with class division. That was illustrated yesterday by photographs of an elegant woman in high heels set upon by youths in the trendy Esplanade des Invalides.

They harried the defenceless woman like a pack of wolves, oblivious to watching police and photographers. One ripped her handbag away while another rifled through her pockets.

Some hotels around the famous Left Bank of the River Seine — usually full of romantic couples strolling hand in hand — have boarded up their windows up as armoured vehicles with water cannons patrol the streets.

Paris’s mayor, Bertrand Delanoe, called the situation “explosive” and added: “The government’s obstinacy is creating an extremely dangerous situation that is sinking into further violence and further danger.”

French President Jacques Chirac, in Brussels at an EU summit meeting, called the violence “intolerable and unacceptable” and ordered authorities to punish troublemakers “with all necessary severity”.

The violence — which has spread to other cities — has led to more than 1,400 arrests and more than 450 cops being injured.

""The government must create jobs"

We hear this at home too from the Libs.

The government doesn't create jobs. Capitalism does.

Tell that to a Moonbat Liberal, and a few around here.

I believe both the students and the Muslim rioters are correct, in that they feel oppressed by society.

The baby boom generation in France has gotten hold of all the good things in life, and is holding them through political power. The young feel there is nothing for them, and they are right.

While what they say is not really rational, their gut feeling is sound. They also have their youth and the threat of physical violence as their only weapon.

"Pray that it will not! Pray that the French people awaken in time to save themselves."

Nah, they're going to collaborate; some things never change. Jean-Marie Le Pen has announced his intent to align himself with the bourgeoning Muslim population, and ditch the anti-immigrant schtick he was using to try and gain support among rightwing Christians ... but there's not not enough of them, apparently. The Neofascist thing plays pretty well with the yoots, they claim.

Actually, that's a mistranslation from the French. The phrase is : "Dipsh*t Power".

We are not far behind, as Ted Kennedy pushes to raise the minimum wage yet again . . . .

I had to chuckle at this quote from the article:

A recent survey suggested that for most of the young in France, the real dream is to become a civil servant - a fonctionnaire. To work in government offices with regular hours, long holidays, and a 35 hour working week.

The French "youths" sure know how to dream big, don't they?
