Howie Carr talks about the criminal alliance between brothers William Billy Bulger and James Whitey Bulger. Mr. Carr explains their impact on the the political and crime worlds in Boston for the last quarter of the 20th Century. James Bulger, who ran an organized crime organization in South Boston, remains the number 2 man on the FBI's most wanted list. William Bulger, a politician who rose to the rank of president of the Massachusetts State Senate and was later appointed president of the University of Massachusetts, was convicted of perjury and obstruction of justice in 2003 (in connection with an investigation into the activities of his brother). Author Bio: Howie Carr, a columnist for the Boston Herald, is the host of the Howie Carr radio show. For more information on Mr. Carr and his work, visit howiecarr.com. |
The FBI was so horribly in the tank for these crooks that it cannot be over looked.
Want to piss on Massachusetts?
This thread's for you.
Howie's on C-SPAN2 right now and he's a hoot.
Do you know who I am? howie! howie! it's from the tabloid talk shows in boston.
witchhunts...fells acres...barney frank...chappaquiddick....mayor curley...the vineyard and boston's second album...where does one begin?
This is where the news broke that the FBI had been compromised by the mob, IIRC.
Howie's response was that many sons and daughters of Southie are appalled.
They did it with the active assistance of the FBI, that's how.

Oh, that's right -- the article was about organized crime, and I forgot to mention the Kennedy's. I am remiss. I got carried away with the idea of "pissing on Massachusetts."
Boston's third album, the Big Dig, Mass Pike tolls, real estate prices, Drunken Teddy, Kept Man Kerry, The Fleet Center, Cambridge, Harvard, Blowgan airport, crappy roads, cold weather, LIBERALS, James Taylor....
Hey,real estate prices are good for some, bad for others. There are lots of folks around here who bought fairly modest houses 10-15 years ago who now could, thanks to price appreciation, sell and then be able to afford a 10 bedroom mansion in North Carolina,Georgia or Texas.
The Boston Glob, Boston Magazine, Dunkin Donuts coffee, Newton public schools' liberal agenda, Mikey Dukakis, Derrick Z. Jackson, the Celtics, the Bruins, Bernard Law, Kiss 108....
that freakin accent!
that freakin accent!
I'm not sure about that conviction of Wm. Bulger.
provincial politics, Boston Public Schools, The Bourne and Sagamore Bridges, The Boston Herald, the Boston Phoenix, the god damned "attitude" up there, the drivers, the racism, the gun laws.....
You're jealous because we have the best darn clam chowder on the planet.
I lived there for 33 years.
Yeah, well we got the swan boats.
Screw that other stuff.
Born and raised in Boston, son of an Irishman, I can now say from the Mid-West that I could never, ever live in Boston again. I am ashamed that the Irish are proud of their lives in places supporting lowlives like the criminals in Boston, and that one of the reasons I am no longer Catholic has a lot to do with this whole situation. The Church pretends nothing bad happens as long as the cash flows in.
