Posted on 03/25/2006 4:45:43 PM PST by TheMom

Finally, the details have been nailed down!

The Eaker family is inviting FReepers to a Texas Cowboy Memorial Shoot.

The date will be May 6th, starting time will be 10:00 a.m.. The location will be sent via FReepmail (if you are interested in attending send me a message). The cost will be $15.00 per person.

After the shoot, everyone is invited back to The Compound to stuff themselves with TheMom's Kick-Ass Enchilada's (it is advised to wear stretch pants).

I was rereading this thread when I came across your post.

This part, "An, Eaker, Flyer, HumbleGunner amd Meekie, eat an extra enchilada for me! :o)" cracked me up.

I have yet to meet anyone who can eat an extra enchilada. Would you settle for a few extra bites?

Everybody have fun, in TC's memory.

If it becomes an annual event, keep us informed.

They are not normal human enchiladas.

I can eat only two and I'm not a small guy.

These suckers weigh at least four or five pounds each!

Eaker will pick up the "traveling trophy" from Houston Curmudgeon tomorrow. Below are three suggestions for what should be written on the plaque, place your vote here or via FReepmail:

"This years custodian of ElRoy's Faith, Love, Trust, & FRiendship"

"The TexasCowboy Trophy Presented in Memory of our Beloved FRiend Mr. ElRoy Ray"

"Braggin Rights!"

I would like ask for your assistance is establishing the criteria for winning the trophy.

The best shot with the biggest caliber gun is a good idea, but might automatically knock wimps like me from the running.

I would like ask for your assistance is establishing the criteria for winning the trophy.

High caliber rifles, say .223 and above.

100 yards, 150 yards.. whatever is agreed upon and permitted by conditions.

A couple of warm up cycles and then 5 shots on standard targets.

Each ring or bull has a number, tally those and there is the winner.

We do need to think of a new criteria as I only know one of us with access to a .50BMG and a hit on paper with it would win it.

If the criteria was biggest bonehead then we could simply engrave it with humblegunner's name.

Suggestions?
