To: at bay
If you can't figure that out, how in the world do you think Washington can? Isn't an attempted break in a crime by itself? Why didn't you call the police?

There has been a stand off between the locals and feds. It is mostly about money. Locals want to be paid by the feds. They are supposed to work together, but feds have not had the capacity to handle their end, so jails get backed up.

That's your answer to what you think californians should do? Of course I would have called them had I had a slam dunk, proof beyond a reasonable doubt case. So the question, again: What would you have Californians do about a wholly federal issue?
