Senator's bill gives illegal entrants five years to leave the country -

I would give them 5 days.

Anchor baby or no.

But they said they staunchly oppose recent immigration proposals like House Bill 4437 and a proposal from Sens. Kyl, R-Ariz., and John Cornyn, R-Texas, that they believe would make them criminals.

1. Screw them and what they oppose.

2.They are criminals.

This is not their country, and I could not possibly care less what they think.

Let these clowns protest, the national media is covering this so the more demands the illegals make the harder it's going to be for the GOP Senate to give in to them.

Using Oscar Cruz as a poster boy in this article is typical of the left's approach. Cruz is not statistically significant in the current argument.

The issue is illegal, Mexican immigration.

The consequences of illegal Guatemalan immigration could fit in the town of Bellflower (100K)! The consequences of illegal Mexican immigration would barely fit in the state of California (35M).

Give employers of illegals stiff fines and serious prison time. All of them. The illegals will quickly deport themselves at their own expense.

I have no problem with legal immigrants workers who follow the rules.

Does anyone else notice that the only flags they are waving are the Mexican Flag? Now if I wanted to prove that I loved America I wouldn't be waving a foreign flag.

Throw the bums out!

500 boisterous protesters who hoisted signs, held U.S. and Mexican flags...

Let's get these POS out of OUR country. NOW.

If only President Bush took seriously these Mexican marauders as much as he does the Taliban or al Qaeda, any other invaders of a sovereign nation (like our own.)

Percentage of protesters who would ever vote for Senator Kyl no matter what he did: 0.001%

"We want residency," said Cruz, 48, who was born in Nicaragua and lived in El Salvador before arriving in the United States in 1985.

Cruz has been able to work on renewable visas under the Nicaraguan Adjustment and Central American Relief Act but says he wants a chance to become a legal permanent resident.

He's been here 21 years and hasn't become a citizen? Amazing arrogance!

BTW, just in case there is any confusion, the photos posted on the thread so far are from the protests in LA (I think all are from yesterday?). Same reason, different city. There was a photo for this particular article, but it had disappeared the last time I checked.

"They deserve some way to come into this country and work without the fear of being sent back in four of five years," said Bill Kinkead, 73, who is a member of Humane Borders.

There is a way - it's called legal immigration

SOMEONE is organizing all those folks. Certainly a portion of them--perhaps a sizeable portion--are illegals in those marches. If they organize them, they know where to find them. Time for the DHS to infiltrate some of these orgs.

We have to speak out loud and clear that there is another side to the story - by the people who can actually vote in this country. The Senate Judiciary Committee will meet on Tuesday (I think) to make a mockery of their constituents' desires and of the Sensenbrenner bill waiting for them.

Send free faxes at NumbersUSA

Send email or faxes at Federation for American Immigration Reform (faxes for a fee)

Send faxes to all Senate Judiciary Committee and your local congressmen for $14

Senate Judiciary Committee:

Sen. Orrin G. Hatch (R-UT) - 202-224-5251

The illegals know that this is their time.

They know that there is a weak little man in the White House now who craves their approval and will sign away America to gain it.

The good news is, that with all these lawbreakers gathered in one place, it'll be easy for ICE to round them all up and deport them!

Right?

Right?

Reminds me of the barbarian hordes overrunning the Roman Empire. When a nation rots, the right bacteria will come along to advance the process of decomposition.

Mexican native Soto, 32, wants the same thing. He came here 10 years ago to work and said he pays taxes, obeys laws and respects the culture and government of the United States.

What Soto doesn't understand is that he does NOT pay taxes, and this shamnesty is NOT going to force employers to pay the minimum wages that law abiding employers do. THAT would upset the apple cart for the big corporations who want that cheap labor. They won't pay income taxes, or workers comp insurance, but they will ALL be eligible for the free services that America offers.

When I look at how many thousands of people there are in all of the marches/demonstrations around the country, it's plain to see that we don't have that many agriculture jobs in America, so illegals are either taking other jobs away from Americans, or they are already on assistance.

I'm sure there are a lot of hard working people who obey the law and are productive. Those people would be welcomed if they did it the right way. Unfortunately 30% of our prisons are filled with illegals, and those are people we don't want in our country, so we've got to have a wall to keep them out when they are released.
