"The Libertarian Party has long recognized the importance of allowing free and open immigration, understanding that this leads to a growing and more prosperous America. We condemn the xenophobic immigrant bashing that would build a wall around the United States."
The LP sucks on this issue, as they do on others. But one thing about the LP--at least they're honest about their stance. Where do the GOP and Rats stand...this week?
I am for defending American sovereignty and borders before I defend any party's principle. It sure would be nice if the LP got its head out of the sand on this principle, seeing as how the aim of every Mexican that illegally hops the border is to leech America for education, medical care, citizenship for their kids, and now, amnesty. Libertarianism, and politics, ought to stop at the border. Which is what is so damn sad about DC today. With all the money going around from multinational companies depending on that cheap labor, nobody seems to feel bad at all up there about selling out their country. Orrin Hatch is silent, Mike DeWine is silent, and we all know what that means--they're going to slip in the knife quietly.
Agreed.
