This has got to be the very first time I have ever seen this: the PID of a troll.

Is it cost-effective to make this SOP on them all?

Bah. I don't believe 'MOST of us' did.

I have a collection of downloaded posts from back then that might suprise you.

We have never lacked for hindsight when it comes to walking away from previously held positions.

This was the creep who published an article on Etherzone claiming I was the person who mailed the infamous Anthrax letters. He was later promoted to some high position at said publication. And later yet, fired from same said high position. He's a real shitbird.

Well, perhaps you should read post #33.

Pretty self-evident.

So most Freepers thought it was OK for a Republican President to pass the buck to a Liberal Supreme Court, on such a huge issue, when he himself had the power to kill it himself?

I guess you're right, actually, since Bush can do no wrong.

The second poll amounted to wishful thinking...a case of FReepers way overestimating the ability of scotus members to read and comprehend.

But even Washington and Lincoln made mistakes.

They didn't make any mistakes regarding our freedom of speech. During the 2004 election, Bush mentioned he liked the 527's. Bush liked the bill enough to sign it into law.

Bush signed it , but he didnt write it , nor did he pass it through the Congress. Its a bad law and he should have vetoed it but the dipsticks in the Congress should have done the same thing. There are a lot of people guilty of selling us out on this one.

Many of us here opposed it- I created this bump list to that end:

Silence, America!:

Silence, America!: for Silence, America!.

Other Bump Lists at: Free Republic Bump List Register

That is not the original graphic- the original was created by FReeper Musket, and featured a Minuteman with the slogan, "Speak now, or forever be silenced."

It's a bad concept, turned into a worse law, and very un-American.

This thread should be in "chat" - no link, no story.

It's an unconstitutional abomination; he never should have signed it, probably the worst thing he's done during his entire presidency. Fortunately we didn't get Harriet Miers on SCOTUS. With Alito taking O'Connor's seat we still have a chance of getting it declared the unconstitutional, evil, immoral monstrosity that it is.

If you're really interested in this particular troll's opinions, Google Todd Brendan Fahey.

From New World Disorder:

Psychedelics and, to a lesser extent, the dissociative anaesthetics (dextromethorphan, Ketamine) have altered me (that disparate thing called "me," which is now more than simply the id/ego/superego, of Freudian paradigm) radically. Whereas once I was a stone-atheist--a good, old-fashioned American materialist, a believer in baseball, boxing, booty, & such--, I feel now to be a meaningful part of God's plan, which is still mysterious to me, but of which I am being shown ever-more frequent glimpses (--a sort of risky exercise in traveling through one of Stephen Hawking's theoretical wormholes to the Source).

'Nuff said.
