Dell's failure rate is below that of the component parts it uses.

How is this possible? because it's inside a dell case the parts made from another company aren't going to break? i.e. the Western Digital hard drive in a Dell is the same one that goes in Gateway, IBM, or HP computers or Apple for that matter.

Dell is doing some sort of a short burn in on every machine. Defective parts generally show themselves as defective sooner rather than later.
