About three months after 9/11 I was hauling four 55 gallon drums of diesel on my 6' x 8' trailer up one of the four lane highways here. Understand that I am 6'1" 240 lbs of big very white guy. I was pulled over by one of our normally sane Sheriff's Deputies. who was concerned about what I was hauling. When I said diesel he freaked out and called his partner and started asking my why I need that much diesel etc. I told him that I didn't like the $30 charge that the fuel company charged me for delivery. He just couldn't grasp that someone would haul their own heating oil. I finally had enough and told him to get his supervisor here immediately. When the Sergeant showed up it was all over shortly and he was laughing his a$$ off at the Deputy. Insanity is rampant these days. We inspect old ladies down to their support hose at the airport while clearly Muslim men pass by with not a word.

On a number of occasions all the people in the more intrusive lane were white professionals. Who do you think the person making these decision was?
