Dell's primary assemblies are manufactured in (gasp!) China. Dell hires cheap US labor to assemble these into the finished product; a "do you want fries with that" business model.

Actually their call centers are in India. I've bought a Dell item last year and it was an indian at the other end of the world that was taking my order. I was suprised I wasnt charged an outrageous amout of money in international phone calls.
