KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) - Senior Muslim clerics demanded Thursday that an Afghan man on trial for converting from Islam to Christianity be executed, warning that if the government caves in to Western pressure and frees him, they will incite people to ``pull him into pieces.''

No, he was an islamite before his conversion to Christianity. That is what irks the islamite clerics so badly. The clerics just can't tolerate anyone thinking on their own behalf that excludes the islammies' control.
There is absolutely no reasoning with religious fanaticals unless their at or near room temperature.
Oops, I was just dreaming on that one as I have heard not one peep from anyone supposedly representing Islam in America clamoring to save this man's life. I would guess that is because they have all read the Koran and knows that the punishment for one who turns away from Islam is - - - DEATH!
In a more courageous world, most Muslims would long ago have been confined to insane asylums and prisons.
"Grog no like converts."
Well, he is a Christian after all, so technically this can be considered a celebration of diversity, if by "celebrating diversity," we mean anything that offends, harms or diminishes Christianity or Christians.
I don't think he truly believes this. I think he truly would LIKE to believe this so therefore, to be diplomatic and PC, he says it.
I happen to disagree with this tactic. I think Islam is a vile, evil and truly demonic cult which poses as a religion. It's founder, muhammed was an evil man, possesed by the devil. He was a criminal, a terrorist, a pedophile and a thief. He was a murderer and a con-artist. The illiterate fools who followed him did so out of stupidity, greed or fear. And the result is today's moslem fools doing the same.
I think the President doen't say what he truly believes about Islam because he simply cannot. He has implied it many times but yes, he alwysa puts the qualifier that those he is speaking of have "hijacked" a ROP.
He knows, as we know that that is utter garbage. The peaceful moslems are the one's who do not truly practice islam as it is meant to be practiced...according to the hadith and Koran.
But then again, he might believe it and if that's the case - he needs to get a clue. I know Rep. Tom Tancredo gets it. I recieved a three page letter from him a few months back attesting to this. It was great.
And there are people who think we can negotiate with these "moderate" muslims.
Only because the truth is too hard to face. Really, who wants to face the evil that is Islam?
And we defended these people... why?
This is generally true, but sadly, not true in Mohammedan lands. Turkey, which was once the heart of Eastern Christendom, is now 99.9% Mohammedan. And Mohammedan lands are notoriously difficult to evangelize, as this case makes clear.
Mohammedanism has only been removed by force, as when Catholics drove the Mohammedans out of Spain and other parts of Europe.
I believe the clerics realize that if he gets away with it then everyone will want to do it. Islam was created through violence and is held together by the threat of violence.
Religion of Pieces?
How about Cult of Death.
They must be made to reject this religious doctrine the same way the Germans gave up the Furor.

Absolutely right. Violence in the name of Mohammed must be outlawed as criminal activity. The cults practicing such beliefs must be treated as conspiratorial criminal organizations. They are mafia and as such must be outlawed by every local, national and international governmental body.
These monsters and their vile practices must be criminalized. Their legitimacy must be ended. They must be routed from civilized society.
Because we haven't got the will to kill 200 million people for starters.
Is this the govt that we helped create?
Why doesn't Bush DEMAND the release of this man!?
Doesn't fit his true agenda?
He needs asylum here.
And this demand is coming from the "moderate" imams.
