I prefer the word "independence".
Every time I hear someone ask "Why does our government allow illegal aliens to over run our nation?" I think globalization. It's a means of erasing borders so we can all live in some kind of fantasy world.
The European Royality of the 19th century believed in peace through "interdependence" and created and used treaties to enforce this "interdependence".
This "interdependence" lead to the first World War by dragging, through defense treaties, all the nations of Europe into the war.
The aftermath of WWI lead to WWII, then then Cold War and now our War on Terrorism.
This should everyone an idea of the hell globalists are going to create with this "interdependence".
Another Trilateral Commission Conspiracy post!
Can you tell us about the source of this article? What organization publishes the article?
Le me guess, this is about the international banking conspiracy?
"how much insecurity can America live with...?" One of these days we'll find out that it is a lot less than we currently tolerate.
I'd guess most in this country have no clue what these jokers are really up to.
"The European Royality of the 19th century believed in peace through "interdependence" and created and used treaties to enforce this "interdependence..."
Yeah, where ARE the Hohenzöllens, Hapsburgs, Esterhazys, and Romanoffs these days.....looks like the ONLY ones left are the Windsors, and they're just gelded figureheads on welfare.....
Globalization is not only insecure, it leads to the One World Government that the two main holy scriptures of Abtahamic Monotheism WARN us about.
Besides, didn't Jefferson, Madison, Hamilton, et. al. caution us about "entangling alliances"?
The TLC and the CFR ARE in bed with the international bankers. It goes back to Wilson and his eminance grise Edward Mandell House.
You did not answer my questions?
What's your point?
I can't.
What organization publishes the article?
Some group called The August Review.

Beats me. I never read the links I post.
I'll get the popcorn....
Politicians are enamored with the huge dollars required to keep their jobs as American royalty. Those huge dollars come from the folks who are enamored with, and profit by, globalization.
One word: greed. Follow the money. There are a lot of people out there (you see some of them right here in FR) cheer this kind of crap on because they think it will make an easy buck, basically getting rich by doing little or no work (e.g., selling out our assets to the highest bidders). In truth, only a very few people will get very, very rich, at the expense of the rest of the country and its citizens. The pols have their hands in the till. Their power depends on money.
"Le me guess, this is about the international banking conspiracy?"
Hmmm. You seem awfully eager to point the blame away from the global bankers. You must be in league with them!
My reply wasn't an answer...your question wasn't put to me.
My reply was a side comment.
The TLC and the CFR should be branded the subversive organizations they are and completely disbanded. We should also withdraw from all alliances, including trhe UN and all trade agreements such as NAFTA, CAFTA,k and trhe WTO. Finally, we should dismantle the illegal and unconstitutional Federal Reserve, go back on the gold standard, and put monetary policy completely in the hands of the Treasury Department.
To Hades with globalists and globalism.
Who cares? Just read the article. What purported facts are wrong? What opinions do you find unsubstantiated, etc.? What facts do you want to add? What opinions do you have and why?
It has become far too common for people to be smeared as "anti-Semites" for having a theory that others don't like.
I posted this article because I question the notion that "interdependence" is a good thing. The article points out some troubling consequences for national security.
To the extent that "free trade" creates interdependence, it should be questioned, too. It would be one thing to be buying decorative pillows from Colombia. It would be an entirely different matter to be developing new military technology based on chips manufactured only in the PRC, strategic materials available only from South Africa, etc.
You find "walls" everywhere in nature. Why do you suppose that is? Would you want your cell walls dissolved so all your protoplasm could freely exchange organic chemicals with one another?
