"Specter rejoiced. The Pennsylvania Republican bragged to reporters, “The Republican Party is now principally moderate, if not liberal!”?

This from the major proponent, if not the author of, the "single bullet theory" for the Warren Commission.

I wonder where Hale Boggs D-LA might have ended up had he not disappeared in that plane crash in Alaska. After all, Gerald Ford remains the only American to have ever served as President without receiving a single popular vote.

You are insane. He got almost 50% of the popular votes in 1976! That's hardly "receiving a single popular vote."

By the way, the Constitution provides for someone becoming president without "receiving a singular popular vote." If you hate the Constitution that's your right, but don't expect me to applaud you.
