Hope springs eternal for Novell and its management. Their stock is stuck at around $7 to $8 per share. Their earnings are atrocious.

Novell still exists? How'd they survive all their screwups over the years?

Novell? Aren't they down to trying to sell some free software they bought from some guys in Europe? No wonder their earnings are atrocious.

I would easily recommend Microsoft, Apple, or Sun products over Novell.

"I don't know if you guys knew that [Vista] was originally expected to be ready by end of 2004," Dragoon added. "The last time I checked, it is 2006."

So it's on the same schedule as Windows 95 then.

I have SUSE 10. Its a nicely polished OS and has almost every application you will ever need on a couple of CDs. It autodetected all my hardware. I was impressed. When Novell comes out this summer with Novell Linux Desktop 2, it should run rings around Windows Vista.

My company will be eliminating all support for Novell in our next generation of servers - one less thing to worry about. :)

Novell's SUSE Linux 10, along with its family of desktop, communications, mobile and networking applications, is ready now, Dragoon said.

I tried it, and if you are a non-tech windows consumer, you will not switch.
