Senior Muslim clerics demanded Thursday that an Afghan man on trial for converting from Islam to Christianity be executed, warning that if the government caves in to Western pressure and frees him, they will incite people to "pull him into pieces."

Deposing the Taliban accomplishes nothing, so long as Muslim "law" remains in effect. Bush needs to airlift this guy out tonight and bring him to the White House for a ceremony, then go to church with him. Let the maggots go nuts and kill each other over it.

This is definitely a watershed moment. I suggest we need to let this thing play itself out and see what happens. This is another instance in which islam collides with modernity and is bound to lose whatever may happen.
