Senior Muslim clerics demanded Thursday that an Afghan man on trial for converting from Islam to Christianity be executed, warning that if the government caves in to Western pressure and frees him, they will incite people to "pull him into pieces."
"Rejecting Islam is insulting God. We will not allow God to be humiliated. This man must die," said cleric Abdul Raoulf, who is considered a moderate and was jailed three times for opposing the Taliban before the hard-line regime was ousted in 2001.

There is NO moderate Islam. There is Islam and there are those that hide in the shadows of Islam until they are called.
All things considered, Karzai will be much better of taking those clerics out for execution ~ and the sooner the better.
The frightening part is that Abdul is a moderate (relative to most Islamics).

Amen. American's must start to realise that ALL Muslim's are not to be trusted. Being Muslim means being Muslim, and taht means eventually they want to either dominate you or kill you.
Can our troops rescue this fellow and give him asylum in the US?
Isn't this what the Pharisees implored the Romans to do to Jesus? Jewish law at the time did not allow for executions, so the Pharisees (religious leaders of Judaism) got the Romans to do their dirty work for them. Jesus was accused of "blasphemy". This was 2,000 years ago. It seems some areas of the world haven't changed that much. What a tragedy.
You do realize that Israel is in the Middle East, right?
These people don't deserve our protection.
