Personally, I believe we should outlaw smoking. Let me know when they do, then we can all get RICH in the multibillion dollar underground tobacco market!

I KNEW I RECOGNIZED THAT NAME!!! She was in one of the smoking threads, blasting away.! Guess we know now what her vice of choice is, eh? Thanks, coolbreeze! You're quite welcome :)
She also has a penchant for attacking smokers on threads that have NOTHING to do with smoking. I've seen her in action. Gabz still bears the scars of it - but she is among the annointed and can say anything she wants about anyone and doesn't have to worry about it........

One of the big points of this article seems to have escaped your notice. A lot of the people arrested were checked into the hotels where the bars were located and had no intention of leaving that night. It certainly didn't escape my notice. Mighty convenient that those cited are very likely from out-of-town. What do you suppose are the chances they'll travel back to a local court just to defend themselves? Easier (and perhaps less costly) to just pay the fine, right?
There's little doubt in my mind that targeting hotel bars was a calculated approach, set to ensure few people demanding a trial.

If shes so viciously anti smoking, she'd hate me, I'm an underage drinking, casual smoker, and I only smoke in public, defying the Peoples Republic of Cook County.

It's apparent that there are lots of folks here on FR that are enjoying the ride - because they are amongst those creating the slope..........

Yes, they are. There seems to be an endless amount of busy-bodies these days. But, soon they will get the big bite on the rump. I am very curious as to how they'll handle that.

If families can sue tobacco companies because their loved ones died while using tobacco products - and WIN - then why is it still a legal product? Is that a serious question?

Is that a serious question? Considering who posed the question - the answer is YES.
