"McCaine-Feingold is a threat to America and American liberty. Did you imagine that FreeRepublic would stand immune from such threats?"

If its targeted at message boards then no - Freep is a logical target. I've just read the whole bill and can't find where it would reasonably apply to message boards.

McCain/Feingold comes into play because of "content", not the because of the name you apply to the element. Which means, of course, that you can call this a "message board" all day long, and all it takes is one judge to note that it is also "non print media" and there goes the show.

So, good try, but semantics does not win in this game. McCain/Feingold, as well as the fascists after which it is named, has to go because of its very real threat to my free speech.
