My husband can't stand him. I argued that I'd vote for him over a dem but he's starting to worry me even more. We NEED somebody better!
Thanks, sleuth.
McCain really needs to get over himself.
Now, I don't exactly scare easy, but I have to admit I'd be more than a bit apprehensive if a hothead like McCain was the man who was only a few paces away from being able to launch off a nuke at any given time. This is made all the worse by his insatiable need to bring any critic to his or her knees. It's not normal.
The GOP is not right/center. They are center/left. They want you to believe they are right/center. The only reason most of us vote that way is hopefully we can push the GOP further right. Besides the wot in the middle east, what have they done that's conservative? Spending? Immigration? Campaign finance reform? Smaller government?
You got it onyx.
Conservatives need to work now on the grassroots level if they are to get a good conservative candidate for 08. Instead of sitting back and lamenting who might have a lock for the Repub. nomination, a better approach would be to use the power of the blogs, internet etc... (while we still have it) to promote the candidate we would like to see trounce Hitlery.
It really is getting bad....and unless we can find a strong, conservative to run in 2008...heaven help us all.
When President Bush said yesterday that the eventual outcome of Iraq would be under a different President and different Iraqi leadership...
it made me cringe..not because I think he needs to do something faster...I KNOW this is a long war...but WHO can we trust to keep Bush's Doctrine alive...and also, keep the domestic side safe (from idiots like McCain or Hillary)?
I assumed this thread was about the FEC ruling.
Nobody with any sense believes McCain has a chance in hell out getting the GOP nomination; he'll never made it past the grassroots organization.
That's not usually a recommendation to become a Navy pilot...unless your daddy is an admiral with lots of influence. Crashing 5 airplanes before getting shot down in Viet Nam isn't normally tolerated either.
Yes...but President Bush is NOT running for POTUS again.
At this moment in time that is the ONLY thing I am passionately committed to ensuring. McCain's defeat in every election he runs for.
First the GOP primaries, even if I have to vote for a subpar candidate...of which they all seem to be.
Next Arizona.
He's a cancer and I blame HIM for the current state of the Republican Party. He's the principal that engineered this Liberal minority revolt in the caucus and screwed us and this administration and America in general time and again. They all got jealous of his flirtation with the MSM, without suffering consequence. As a result they seek to emulate him.
Lott may be impossible to take out right now, but McCain can be done.
Not a bad idea. I've been noodling on some sort of work-around. Incorporate in another country, put the servers there, and run the business remotely from Fresno.
Good for you! There's something about McCain that is just plain wrong. If he can't take criticism, he picked the wrong business to get into.
So far only George Allen.
But, of course, you realize that if you say we need somebody to keep Bush's doctrine alive, people on this forum will tear the canidate apart.
A whole hell of a lot of that 63 percent who don't think Bush is doing a good job are "real, true" conservatives.
I think so
Nobody with any sense believes McCain has a chance in hell out getting the GOP nomination; he'll never made it past the grassroots organization
Agreed
But I also think a few hundred thousand phone calls to congress telling them to knock it the hell off would be good
Are you Libertarians on crack?
Let it go for the moment - get some sleep and let's regroup in the morning.
You smart girl you!
You are right --- we cannot sit here complaining.
We must get to work and work to elect the most conservative candidates we possibly can, but all the while bear in mind that democrats must not be allowed to regain power in Washington, D.C.
That is unthinkable!
In some races that will mean holding one's nose!
Ronaldus Maxiumus BumpTTT!
