There was another pic as well.Description: Demonstrating his competence with a 12-guage-shotgun, a Sailor fires the weapon during a familiarization firing exercise on the fantail of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76).

60321-N-7130B-005 Persian Gulf (March 21, 2006) - Demonstrating his competence with a 12-guage-shotgun, a Sailor fires the weapon during a familiarization firing exercise on the fantail of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Doesn't a carrier have marines on board to repel boarders? You would think, but the Marines have been pretty busy lately. Maybe they are qualifying so they can stand watch in port.

I may be mistaken, but I believe Navy ships do NOT have Marines on board anymore.

Remington didn't come out with this gem until 1992, but had it been around when I was active duty USCG - it would have been what I would've chosen to take on boardings - if I got to pick. Still my favorite pump gun.

The look like Mossbergs (I have one), but the barrels are shorter than 18". Not sure if they're 16", or shorter.
And, yes, U.S. vs. Miller was wrongly decided based on your point, but it could also be used to argue that the USSC has already ruled that U.S. citizens can own whatever standard-issue battle rifle our soldiers and Marines carry.
