"In a related story, The Vatican has passed on the decree that from this point on, San Francisco is to be known as 'New Sodom.'"

"Demonstrating their own profound ignorance, at least in terms of biological realities, the supervisors contend, "Same-sex couples are just as qualified to be parents as are heterosexual couples." Concluding, the board urged current San Francisco "Archbishop Neiderauer and the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of San Francisco to defy all discriminatory directives of Cardinal Levada."

It really is stunning when reality begins to take on the aura of a Monty Python sketch!

REG:
Furthermore, it is the birthright of every man--
STAN:
Or woman.
REG:
Why don't you shut up about women, Stan. You're putting us off.
STAN:
Women have a perfect right to play a part in our movement, Reg.
FRANCIS:
Why are you always on about women, Stan?
STAN:
I want to be one.
REG:
What?
STAN:
I want to be a woman. From now on, I want you all to call me 'Loretta'.
REG:
What?!
LORETTA:
It's my right as a man.
JUDITH:
Well, why do you want to be Loretta, Stan?
LORETTA:
I want to have babies.
REG:
You want to have babies?!
LORETTA:
It's every man's right to have babies if he wants them.
REG:
But... you can't have babies.
LORETTA:
Don't you oppress me.
REG:
I'm not oppressing you, Stan. You haven't got a womb! Where's the foetus going to gestate?! You going to keep it in a box?!
LORETTA:
[crying]
JUDITH:
Here! I-- I've got an idea. Suppose you agree that he can't actually have babies, not having a womb, which is nobody's fault, not even the Romans', but that he can have the right to have babies.
FRANCIS:
Good idea, Judith. We shall fight the oppressors for your right to have babies, brother. Sister. Sorry.
REG:
What's the point?
FRANCIS:
What?
REG:
What's the point of fighting for his right to have babies when he can't have babies?!
FRANCIS:
It is symbolic of our struggle against oppression.
REG:
Symbolic of his struggle against reality.

Somehow I can't picture this august body lambasting orthodox Jews or Muslims for advocating the same position. I even wonder how many of these nitwits realize that their once-glorious city was founded by monks and named for St. Francis.

Aren't these the same numbnuts who voted against having the USS Iowa (FDR's favorite) in port and declared the US does not need a military for any reason? Shameful.

the governing body of the city of San Francisco - the Board of Supervisors - voted unanimously Tuesday to approve a non-binding resolution blasting the Catholic Church for its opposition to homosexual adoption.

Is Satan overplaying his hand?

Anyway, this makes me proud to be a Catholic.

Oh yes, and San Francisco (St. Francis) is rolling over in his grave. It's only a matter of time before the sodomites change the city's name.

The only good thing about this is the amount of damage these jackasses have done to the rat. Oh the black table telephone media will smother this as best it can, but what these people have done and said will fall on the proper ears. Bank on it.

"San Francisco City Government Calls Catholics 'Hateful, Discriminatory, Insulting, Ignorant'"

Projection: a primitive defense mechanism, operating unconsciously, in which what is emotionally unacceptable in the self is attributed (projected) to others.
