Nagin just can't seem to grasp that he's under a magnifying glass now, can he?

Limbaugh talked about this the other day. He mentioned that a TX company had offered to haul away all the cars, get it done in 15 weeks, and PAY the city of NO about $100 per car. The company would crunch the cars, haul them away, AND pay the city.

Instead School Bus Nagin went with a company that was going to CHARGE the city 23 MILLION BUCKS to do the same thing, and it would take 6 MONTHS to do it.

Unbefreakinglievable.

I wonder if Nagin's going to try to stick FEMA, meaning the federal taxpayers, with some or all of the 23 million dollar tab?

Is it a real company? Maybe it's a 15-year-old upstairs on his computer. Or maybe it's a real company, and an employee thought, "I'll send them an insane bid. Wouldn't it be a riot if they gave us the contract?"

It's amazing what cash under the table can do, when you're dealing with corrupt politicians.

"Something is drastically wrong here in New Orleans; dumb and/or corrupt government is killing our city. The nation is watching, congress is watching, we have got to get it right and get it right now.”

Sorry Peggy, too late. The rest of the nation needs to see no more. Your city, the Chocolate one, is broken, thoroughly corrupt and devoid of competant leadership.

Find a way to wipe away all of the usual suspects:the Nagins, the Broussards, the Landrieus and all of their minions and somebody might, just maybe be willing to take you seriously.

Until then, not a chance.

"Can you say Kickback ?"

Can you say "Chocolate ownership?"

The goings-on in New Orleans have been so corrupt and so over-the-top for so many years that local residents are simply immune to them and can no longer be shocked by deals that would be laughed all the way to jail anywhere else (except of course New Jersey...)

The 'race card' must also be a 'get out of jail free' card.

Is it a real company? It's a real company. CH2M Hill is a well-known national engineering firm.

We have election to take care of corrupt politicians... Oh wait, Mayor Nagin and Governor Blanco have put the elect on hold until they can get the "chocolate" back in the city, that way they can get the automatic democrat vote.

The Times Picayune reported that the chosen proposal, a $1,000-per-car

I stopped reading after this.

I had a custom-car carrier transport my 1964 Shelby AC Cobra from NY to NC for $900.

I called a friend of mine who owns several scrap yards and he said he'd haul them out for free! He said these cars are a gold mine in his business. Especially the ones that just got soaked.

Nagin is dumber than anyone can ever imagine. IMO.

PS - this should be all over the news that Nagin brought in a CO company and paid triple.
