Three people were arrested last night in Uptown and sources within the Minneapolis Police Department tell 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS that investigators believe the three people may have been involved in the Uptown murder.
Minneapolis Police, however, will not confirm that fact.
Shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday, Minneapolis Police officers observed a vehicle fail to stop for a red light at Pillsbury and West 31st. Police activated sirens, but the vehicle failed to stop. The low speed pursuit ended when the vehicle struck another vehicle as the vehicle exited on Hiawatha and Cedar Ave. S.
Loaded handguns were recovered that were apparently thrown from the car.
Police took three suspects into custody: Aiesha Camille Williams, 23, James Michael Walker 27, and Omari Kwakou Thomas, 27.
The two males do have criminal records, 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS has confirmed. Williams was driving.
All three were booked in Hennepin County Jail.
I certainly hope they caught the right a-holes.
If they are the right ones, these dirtbags need to go away for a very long time.
Many crimes are senseless by nature - but this one busted Senseless Meter.
I am confused. The article you posted wasn't from the Red Star.
My apologies.
Sure wish they had reported the COLOR of the car that these folks were driving. Reportedly, a white vehicle was spotted fleeing the crime scene in Uptown on Saturday night.
Ooops!
That's why I didn't post the story from the Strib. Useless fish-wrap.
I know, I'm denigrating fish-wrap....
;-)
just the names: those damnable Swedes!
I just hope the ballistics boys are working overtime on those discarded pieces.
