"My campaigning is done for serious candidates who have some chance of victory at the polls." How nice. And in your infinite wisdom, whom might that be, if not Katherine Harris, who has won every office she has ever run for?

And you notice, I'm not alone, although you single out my posts for some reason. I'M not the one who called her a "would-be sex kitten". :)

Ah, defending one no matter what. :) Also predictable.
Actually, my interest in Harris as a candidate has grown in direct proportion to the amount of flak she's been getting from so-called Republicans who are actually social liberals.
No, she's not a widow.
Nice red herring. But then again, leftists are the masters of red herrings.

You'll notice that I didn't single you out. MM got a response to his nonsense as well. Of course, you and he could be the same person, so closely does your antipathy for social conservatives mirror his.

Well, that's the luck of the draw. People won't be "right" enough for you on some issues. Of course, when it comes to deficit spending and illegal "immigration", I'm apparently pretty far to the right of the guy in the White House....

Was Newt traveling with Breck Girl?

We're not. Surely you don't think that only one person is not a social conservative. Since I've been here I've seen that I have plenty of company. That seems to be what you're really not happy about.

Wow, she didn't look nearly that good. Big nose, tons of makeup and an ill-fitting suit. Nice combo, ay?

Absolutely. If, I mean, when elected she would still be much smarter than Patty Murray.

I've seen her in person; she is fond of makeup, and she DOES have a honker. She's about 25 years younger than Newt, so this one may outlast him.
To: Smokin' Joe
So who did the make-up? TV makeup isn't Mary Kay. Nixon got scuttled in the debates with Kennedy because the make-up made him look like crap. Ya think that might have been done on purpose?
It was on Fox News, so my answer would be, "No."

My word, 25 years younger? She doesn't look it.
Newt looked pretty good. Still needs to lose about 50 pounds.
On the flight down, I wan on board with Denise Austin and her family. I've seen her in the Safeway in Old Town. A real sweetheart, that one.

I have usually liked Ms. Harris, and think that much of the criticism about her is unfair. But, I find something just a bit out of line for someone willing to spend $10 Million for a Senate seat.

Sick of the chauvinism about Harris on these boards. And if it isn't chauvinism, it's misogyny against a GOP female.
You know, I heard that Abe Lincoln had a high squeaky voice. And I could really go to town on Bush's hayseed looks, his horrific haircut(s), insane arm and hand gestures, muddled speech rhythms, pugilistic emotive stance rather than one of wise articulation... bla bla bla.
Harris' looks are immaterial. So is her delivery. Her substance is all that is important here, and in terms of what she has already done for this country - she has proved her mettle.
It took guts to shut down the MSM as she did during 2000 election cycle.
It takes guts to stand up to Rove, when you are really a loyal GOPer at heart.
It takes guts for her to even throw her hat in the ring now after being crucified by the MSM.
God bless her. And to you naysayers -- unless you are running yourself, she's the candidate.
So please shut up.

I don't think I said anything about her sex or her looks. Just the histrionics.

And yet you do waste an awful lot of time posting in the Harris threads. I wonder why? Could it be that your time ain't really valuable at all, and you just like to whine about a real conservative?
To: Californiajones
So, according to you, Mrs. Harris might get elected because people won't notice what she sounds like, and won't notice what she looks like? Are you serious?
The only way she gets elected is if Sen. Nelson gets caught sleeping with a live priest or a dead nun. Period.
