'If it bleeds it leads' is the line they like to use... to deny this is to deny reality.

I don't deny this. I know this too well. But even the so called conservative press still talks about the dangers and problems of the area. Britt Hume, while downplaying all the gloom and doom will still state Iraq is not peaceful and clearly very dangerous.

Nobody could paint Iraq as a safe and happy place right now. The problem is if you watch and read the MSM every day, and don't do any independent looking, you would think that as soon as you walked out of the Green Zone you would be shot, kidnapped, or tortured by rouge US Soldiers. The perception the MSM has created is that the entire country of Iraq is functioning like the small area inside the Sunni Triangle which couldn't be further from the truth.
