First of all, the tobacco reference is a bad one to use; a VERY bad one!

In Colonial America, there was a VERY well known little poem which begins :"TOBACCO IS A DIRTY WEED,I LIKE IT. IT STINKS THE BREATH....." and goes on, verse after verse, with several stating that it KILLS!

Well, lots of things "kill" people, but tobacco doesn't ALWAYS "kill", as taking rat poison or strychnine does. You've bought the smokeNazi line completely!

Many hundreds of thousands of people have been killed or maimed in car accidents, through the years. I guess cars should be outlawed and Ford and Buick and Packard ( whoooops...they've long been out of business ) and all of the share holders should be sued. Right?

The same is true for trains and planes and liquor. How about John Deere? Didn't that company manufacture the wood-chipper that a crazy used to kill quite a few people? How about knives and guns and hammers and box cutters?

Don't be ridiculous. In the case of the tobacco industry, their public denial went on long-after they became aware of scientific evidence that it was highly lethal. Strychnine and rat poison aren't 100% fatal either. Purposely administering them in any dose without knowledge and consent consent is illegal, and considered attempted murder in most jurisdictions. No different than someone putting a dropper-full into your cocktail.
