Again, it is YOU--like Bush--who don't seem to get it here. The heart of any empire, such as Rome, is the mob. So is it with America as well. And the mob HATES Arabs since 9/11. Now more than ever. You can know that the UAE and Qatar and whoever else are "allies", but the mob is not going to be with you. Bush did not try to explain a damn thing. He just took a hard line, threatened veto, and circled the wagons. The mob just got angrier. Stupid politics. All your ranting can't change that. There is your ideal world, and the real world of the mob. The mob which would have thrown 50 Republicans out of Congress had they permitted this deal to go through.
It was only after the destruction of the Roman Republican that the mob became a factor.
It has almost NEVER been an issue in the US.
Nor was this a true mob but merely ignorant Republicans following Lying RATS. Republicans have always been the ones resisting mobs while the RAT whip them up.
NO republicans would have lost seats had they depended upon the truth but instead they panicked and acted like craven cowards.
If your view of our nation is correct it is finished. All that is left is the fall.
