OK, I'm going to get labelled a bigot, but here goes: This is the first time I've ever read this in print, but I've known it ever since I went to Engineering school over 20 years ago.
I met lots of Middle Eastern students, and there were some exceptions, but IN GENERAL, they created their own reality and would argue with you on any point you disagreed until doomsday that whatever it was that you believed was dead wrong.
It wasn't a fluke, it was a mindset.
Until they shun Islam, there is no hope.
That's why "democratizing" Muslims will not work.
Islam and western style freedom are like oil and water. They simply do not mix.
