"The newly released documents...dating from about 1996-97 back to the period soon after the 1991 Gulf War...." This is shoddy journalism or worse to make conclusions on just these documents. There have been translations of documents from 1998 into the 2000's that provide a better picture of what Saddam was doing. Shame on you, AP!!!
