The charges were dropped in Marion County. A few months ago in Hillsborough County, LaFave pleaded guilty to two counts of having sex with her student, who was then 14. In exchange, she has to serve three years of house arrest followed by seven years of probation.

Still a slap on the wrist, though. Expect a Playboy offer soon.

Part of the deal is that she has to register as a sex offender. That pretty much voids any commercial deals she could make. It might expire after the 10 years (3 house arrest, seven on probation) are over, but I doubt there would be much interest in a decade.

Things are not always what they seem......OK.....so from a source in Florida, here is what I heard......the boy had this reputation of having had sex with a number of girls in his class. Mommy did not want that getting out at trial and it most certainly would have....so a deal was brokered.
