If my 14 year old son did do something like this I would be disappointed with him, but I would certainly blame the teacher and not him for having it happen. Agreed. In spite of whatever his hormonal state was, she committed a felony .. period, end of story.
They can't prosocute because his mom doesn't want him to testify (I'm pretty cetrain he's had all the spotlight from this he can stand) .. so the perp dodges jail time.
It's my belief that there shouldn't be any difference in outcome whether it's female perp / male victim of the other way around.
The kid may have willingly jumped on it but the perp knew it was a felony.

A girl will regret such an affair the rest of her life.
This boy will remember his liason with this teacher fondly.
He has not been 'victimized' in any sense of the word.

The kid may be many things but to call him a victim is over the top. When I and the rest of my male friends were 14 we were doing anything possible that might have resulted in being "victimized". And, that was in the mid fifties.
