But I was a molested kid who knew other molested kids. Part of my continued healing is wading into some of the incest/molestation forums to help others plow throw the mud.
I've also foster molested kids and my job, though not direct, involves some contact with....more molested kids.
It's a familiar story and scenario.
So, you're seeing it through innocent eyes, I'm seeing it from the world I've lived in most of my life. She's a monster.....and monsters only want victims.
I understand your point, certainly.
Especially with young girls. I've seen surveys claiming that more than half of all women have been abused. My wife was 'fondled' on several occasions as a child, once by a family member, and it still affects her to this day.
Back then, no one told young ladies about the dangers, no one talked to kids about what to do if anything like that happened.
I have tried to be very open with my daughter, and prepare her for exactly how to react.
But of course, even with the best of planning, sometimes . . .
