My guess would be the damage is coming from the subsequent events, media coverage, lack of privacy and all of that. His family is probably going nuts and ready to move out of state. By now the kid is probably wondering if the nookie was worth all the grief he is going through now (especially now that the cig has been smoked & the afterglow is long gone)
