Well when my grandma gave all her small children and later her small grandchildren their Sat night bath the kids did not sit in a tub of their own blood and granny did not butcher them with her carving knife

Elijah confronted the 450 false prophets of Baal who performed this cutting of the skin as worship as they decided whose God was more powerful.
The real God of the Torah and the Bible teach that cutting oneself in ritual or out of mourning is an anathema to Him..
It is a form of Baal worship...(Ishtar...Baal...Isis...)...
Its Satan worship...

I consider anyone who beats themselves bloody, and mutilates themselves ,mentally ill- doing it in the name of a religion makes it worse, IMO. If the 'religion' requires it, the people AND the 'religion' are sick.
Self-flagellation is not a widespread, accepted, practice in Christianity. Evidently masochism and sadism are part and parcel of Islam.
Christian flog themselve didn't recognise by Vatican. This is their will but not God will. Our Church have try their best to tell them that flogging of yourselve is not the right way. That is why ROSARY to replace Human Thinking of floging. When Europe facing diesease and life are difficult, the gropu of the people thought GOD is punish them. So, they flog each other just like Jesus Christ. They spread thought out the europe. Then St Dominic(i don't know fullname) pray so hard until he nearly die coz' his native are abadon God. Then, Mother Mary him ROSARY. So, the story goes until modern world. Those people flog theselve is lose their thought...due to depression and stress. I ever think of it until I learn about ROSARY.
