More breaking news from the Weather Channel:

- Bitter cold of 50 to 60 below could strike the interior of Alaska for weeks on end sometime soon.
- Ferocious category 5 tornados could sweep through the Ohio River, wiping out many towns.
- A sustained drought lasting a decade or more could cripple water supplies in California and the Pacific Northwest.
- The Mississippi River could flood vast acreage in the Midwest following heavy snowfall and heavier-than-normal spring rains.

Anyone with any sense knows that someday a big hurricane will hit Long Island and New England. Deal with it.

It sounds as though the Northeast is long overdue for a repeat of the 1938, expect this time the population, coastal communities & industry has increased dramatically.

This is the time of year when the media tells us that we can expect more and stronger hurricanes than last year. Yawn.

Slow news cycle ... so they make it up - predictions are easy to make.

Useless idiots.
