Who passes legislation? Who has the veto pen?
Who has had the veto pen for the last five years and failed to use it?
Who is the Chief Executive who can ask Congress to make crucial items a priority?
Who has the power to get on TV and ask the American public to put pressure on Congress, instead of spending 90% of the time talking about Iraq?
Don't forget, STARWISE, that George Bush is the Chief Executive of the United States. He has more power than you give him credit for.

(Bush's #1 priority Africa. #2 priority appease Fox and Mexico . . . USA priority #64.)

I have been watching your posts DTOM888. I can not say I am impressed.
You see the trees really good. But you are missing the Forest. Pick all the nits ya like, but it is the big picture and the OUTCOME that matters.
Can the President do better? Of course. So can you. He is no more perfect than you are. Are there things this Administration has done that a lot of us don't like? I can say with certainty that there is! Does that mean he deserves your scathing and premature reviews of him? No.
Back away from the keyboard. Take a big breath. Go Read Bill Sammons new book. Then come back whey you have your panties un knotted. You have a laundry list of complaints, but no solutions that are realistic in the least.

The veto pen only works on new legislation. He can't go back and change the rules for prior entitlement programs.

PS ... if we don't prevail in the WOT .. nothing else matters (or will be here some day, in some major US city, God forbid).
How much success do you have with your Congresscritters? They marching to the drumbeat of your demands?
