Lawmakers introduce funeral buffer bill

A bill that would keep protesters away from funeral services is now working its way through the state capitol. State representatives Mike Merrifield and Buffie McFadyen introduced the measure, Sunday.

They said they were outraged over a protest outside of a Fort Carson soldier's funeral, earlier this month.

If our legislators had balls:

Any person currently serving in the U.S. military within 1500 meters of a military funeral is allowed a 'Free fire zone'.

Wow. Mike Merrifield is a big time liberal from Manitou Springs. Glad to see he's on the right side of this issue.
