Mel Gibson's newest film will be titled Apocalypto and is billed as an action/adventure film set 600 years ago, prior to the 16th-century Spanish conquest of Mexico and Central America.
IMDb gives a short description that details it as "where a man goes on a perilous journey to save his idyllic world."
And some of those that praised Gibson's epic "The Passion of the Christ" may take pause in how he describes this film by slamming the president.

Bingo. I don't care if the stars in the film are liberal or conservative - they're entitled to their opinion. I care if the story is interesting. Then I'll go. For instance: Sir Ian McKellan is homosexual - but that wasn't going to stop me from enjoying The Lord of the Rings.
Now, some movie stars annoy me. Tom Cruise is exhibit A for that. I refuse to see anything with him in it.
I thought Mel would be immune to the I-have-a-movie-set-to-release-so-I'll-bash-bush-for-free-press-and-to-appeal-to-lefty-movie-reviewers syndrome. I guess he's of that ilk, after all.
