Mel Gibson's newest film will be titled Apocalypto and is billed as an action/adventure film set 600 years ago, prior to the 16th-century Spanish conquest of Mexico and Central America.
IMDb gives a short description that details it as "where a man goes on a perilous journey to save his idyllic world."
And some of those that praised Gibson's epic "The Passion of the Christ" may take pause in how he describes this film by slamming the president.

"This is sooooo disappointing...makes one feel like Mel used us when he filmed "Passion of the Christ"...."
No, he didn't do that. He made a film he wanted to make. It just happened to coincide with your beliefs. Now, he's making another film, which might not fit so closely.
He's a filmmaker, not a politician.
I've never understood why anyone cared about the political beliefs of actors and directors. It seems pretty irrelevant to me.
I was being sarcastic.
Heston's alive. He's 82.
I think he qualifies as one of 'his guys'.
He gave me a brief moment of unwarranted fear. I have no storage space under my bed. I'm forced to keep my tuna fish in the pantry.
But it's better than expecting the government to take care of you, I'd say.
Agreed. It's always possible that there won't be any outside assistance available for an extended period of time.
How did he use you and who is us?
The SSPX does not like Bush. He's just one of many. I'm not sure who they might like but they are few and far between. They're just people who think that everyone but themselves has it all wrong.
I believe dividing line between enemy and friend goes through the policy which Bush represents. His line in the sand is to defend this nation and destroy its enemies who have attacked us. This means that those attacking the president are also attacking our national security needs because those attacks are based upon LIES.
It is not that Bush is a new dictator but that he is the man placed by history to carry forward America's goals and ideals. As were Washington and Lincoln.
Like Lincoln his willingness to defend the Union has earned him nothing but scorn, doubt and a plethora of mindless hatred from the shallow thinkers and outright fans of evil who control and are influenced by the Treason Media.
The "US" are those of "US" who go to these movies because we like to think and feel that the Writer/Producer or whomever you choose to give credit to the creation of any movie is giving US a reflection of what is really important in life...that's why.
Well, if Dubya supported Kyoto, obeyed the UN, was a gun-grabber and didn't pick judges like Roberts & Alito
An individual or group of individuals undoubtedly said something along those lines. That doesn't make it 'the' Catholic position. They can't rely on anything in writing to back that position up, because what is in writing requires balance. There are good reasons for people to immigrate but, at the same time, immigrants are required to respect the laws of the host country. That includes laws governing immigration itself.
The American bishops are also doing a bit of a tap dance in relation to the death penalty. They know it can't be declared morally wrong, so they are joining the crowd proposing a moratorium on imposing the penalty.
It's too bad he couldn't hang out more with Bruce Willis. Maybe Bruce's thinking would rub off a bit...?
Mel is very full of himself.
He is giving away our country to illegal invaders
never met an Orwellian big brother program he didn't like
Yeah, I tend to go on the concept that not everyone agrees 100% with everything a president and his administration does or says.
I for one don't agree with everything Bush stands for. I still like him, I still think he's a highly admirable man and doing one heck of a job for all he's had to deal with in his term(s), and I still would vote for him (if he were to run again, if that were possible).
I like Mel and unlike my husband who refuses to watch movies of liberals (which pretty much narrows down the field a LOT), I go for entertainment vs. politics. I don't believe many in Hollywood even know what the heck they are talking about anyhew.
I have a question:
just because don knotts was on TV, does that mean he went to heaven?
I suspect Mr. Gibson was being black balled in Hollywood.
You can't finance your own pictures all the time, especially when some of these things cost 100 million before Marketing. This will get him back into good grace
with the freaks, and the enabling money men.
Go to hell Mel!
Uuum Charlton Heston is alive.
