"Very interesing article, and very sad. Black boys are often the hardest to teach, too, even in elementary school. They just see no connection whatsoever between school and their lives. And, very few of them have fathers or male relatives in or near the home."

A lot of that may have to with economics. In Buckhead where I went to school there wasn't any educational difference between the black students and the white students.

Yes, you could be right about that. I was actually talking about one specific segment of black boys I have seen.
