And, yet, ironically -- I think today we have more black men making it bigtime in Hollywood and in the music industry than ever before. Hello out there, ever think of helping your "brothers"??? (Maybe if you stopped singing about whores and pimps for a minute, you could do something really worthwhile for these black men...)
There are thousands of blacks who do sing about positive and uplifting things. The problem is that people seem to prefer pimps, ho's and gangsta's. It's just pearls before swine. They'd rather have Jerry Springer than Shakespeare.

True, but black men who make it big as rappers, actors and professional athletes are a miniscule percentage of the black male population. Off the top of my head I'd say there are about 15 million or so black men in this country. How many superstar rappers, actors and pro-athletes? Maybe 1000? Not a positive career outlook if you ask me.
