This scandal is HUGE. Small fry cops are taking the fall for the sins of POLITICAL Sheriff Ken Jenne and the BSO brass. Does anybody out there know how I could contact police writer, Joseph Wambaugh? There is great material for him here to write a book about.

Maybe if you do a search through google you can find a point of contact. I think there's a LOT of law enforcement agencies that "color" the stats.

In Broward County the books were cooked under the direction of Sheriff Ken Jenne in his bid to run Broward County. BTW, he is strictly POLITICAL, not a real law enforcement type.

Inconceivable how this guy, Jenne, is still in office given all the material(ie:detective/police reports),testimony and very obvious cover-up...He must have some serious pictures on someone...How else can you explain this......The guy is totally political...

As for the BSO brass who apparently orchestrated the widespread fraud? Most have either retired with pensions or continue to work.

Plus a few transfers and closing of the investigation's files.

The aim of the investigation was to limit damage not find the truth and certainly not to punish the wrongdoing.

As a further insult to the taxpayer, if the investigation accidentally gets to close to someone, they simply retire and enjoy their bloated pension.

Jenne is absolutely RUTHLESS. Normally, ruthless people can put on a phony pleasant front but Jenne actually looks RUTHLESS. He has some sort of strange facial tick that forces his mouth into a permanent sneer. He is even unable to smile because the ends of his mouth point downward. I saw a campaign photo of him once and had to laugh because even his own photo looked uncomplimentary as hell with that horrible sneer.

If you want to read something that will really ENRAGE you, check out this ARTICLE in today's Miami Herald. The article talks about a couple of the fired cops who took the heat WITHOUT mentioning Ken Jenne nor Powertrac. The Herald is acting like it is ALL the fault of these working cops with NO REFERENCE at all the Ken Jenne and Powertrac. Reason? Because the Herald loves the very poltical Ken Jenne. Therefore the working cops have to take the fall.

Ken Jenne is perfectly content to allow the lives of regular cops to be DESTROYED to save his political career.

I'll answer the question like this: Jenne was originally APPOINTED by Walkin; Lawton Chiles and this is Broward County. Oh, and he used to the the State Senate Leader of guess which party.

Too funny......Seems like they(inspector general,state atty's office,fdle and who knows who else) have been investigating this guy forever with no results, just deputies,detectives and higher ups either getting fired,moved around or retiring and collecting..What a crying shame it is like guy's like Isabella get treated like that he did...Sooner or later something's gotta give..

Yep this is the guy I was thinking of. He was the one who helped CNN air the fradulent assault weapon ban video where they used real machine guns and tried to make people think they were assault weapons. CNN did finally admit it was bad reporting. This guy needs to go.

What is inconceivable is that you find this story to be out of the ordinary.

Since 911 was installed all Police have turned into TAX COLLECTORS! If you need them for their (supposed) Primary (used to be) Mission you must dial 911, it has been since then that you are no longer a Citizen served but are now but a Taxpayer/recipient of a citation (NO BIG DEAL...IS WHAT THEY SAY) But it has been a huge fundamental change in all Cities and Towns throughout the US, where now Clickit or Tickit fines are figured into the Annual Budget, Law Enforcement has become Revenue and NOT the Protection of your Freedom and Liberty.

I have NO sympathy, empathy or any other fuzzy feel good feeling for this Ahole or any one else in the funded and legalized "Protection Racket"

Next time a *POS LEO entertains the possibility of engaging me in conversation I "will" bring this up.

*POS (Most every LEO that I know fits this description perfectly, I have NO second thoughts nor do I think any apologies are necessary)

I recall a few years back, the Broward County Sheriff was a big proponent of gun control. He used to be quoted in the media quite a but. I wonder if this is the same guy.
