Sounds pretty much like the speeches Jwadeh used to give the Saudi and Kuwaiti students brave enough to take a Middle Eastern survey course where they could learn the truth of Islamic history.
He did it a little less emotionally, and with more detail, but it was essentially the same. There is a struggle in the ME ~ and when it comes to things of the intellect, Islam lot it long ago.
